<p>A method is provided, for an electronically controlled postage-meter-machine having stepping motors for setting the print-wheels, which makes it possible to adjust the date-mechanism by means of the keyboard for setting postage-values, or providing automatic date-setting by coupling the electronic logic to a calendar-module. For the purpose of feeding in the date, use may be made of the available keys used to set the postage-values, in conjunction with a function key. The date fed-in by the keys is compared, by an electronic logic device, with the date previously stored; in the event of any discrepancy, the print-wheels are adjusted accordingly. If desired, automatic date-setting may be carried out by coupling the electronic logic device to a calendar module.</p> |
