PURPOSE:To correct the inclination and the upper/lower difference of an actuator arm due to temperature by penetrating a rod-shaped correcting member whose thermal expansion coefficient is different from that of a housing, to the supporting part of the housing and tightening the supporting part in the upper and lower directions. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously when an arm 1 and a rotary shaft 2 are expanded or contracted due to the temperature change, an absolute position to a base is changed by the expansion or contraction of the supporting part 3a of the housing 3. When the rotary shaft 2 is pressed up in the upper direction by a spring at the lower part, the arm as a whole is shifted in the upper direction by the elongation of the supporting part 3a. When the shifting extent is different from the expansion and contraction of a spindle, the relative deviation occurs at the upper and positions of a disk and the arm 1 and the position deviation of a magnetic head 5 occurs. Then, the material of the housing 3 and a reinforced member 7 having a different thermal expansion coefficient the fitted at the supporting part 3a and the supporting part 3a is tightened. The position of the correcting member 7 is selected and the position deviation due to the inclination is corrected. Thus, the margin of an R/W is increased and the device can cope with the high densification.
