PURPOSE:To expand a functional-member storage space and reduce weight by constituting the inside half of a wheel rim large in diameter and constituting the outside half small in diameter in a balloon tire type wheel device for off- road use. CONSTITUTION:The inside half 5a of a rim 5 is constituted large in diameter with a step and the outside half 5b is constituted to be gradually tapered outward in diameter respectively; and a brake member 10, the knuckle 7 of an axle 2, etc. are stored in a space in the inside half 5a. According to this constitution, the storage space of the member to be stored in a wheel can be made large, and an increase of weight can be reduced.
