<p>PURPOSE:To form a photocoupler of a semiconductor light emitting element with an optical fiber which can condense a light in an arbitrary direction by interposing a prism having a suitable refractive index for condensing the light emitted from the element in an arbitrary direction. CONSTITUTION:A prism 5 is formed to have a refractive index to condense a light 4 from a semiconductor laser 1 horizontally to an optical axis, to reflect the light on a reflecting surface and to condense the light to a horizontal optical axis. The light 4 condensed in a horizontal axis direction is further finely throttled by a lens 2 to be introduced into an optical fiber 3. Thus, the light emitted in an arbitrary direction from the element can be condensed in an arbitrary direction by a prism having a suitable refractive index.</p> |
