PURPOSE:To improve the possibility of displaying an erroneous location distance, by adding an identifying code to counts being transmitted from a slave unit to perform a computation using counts of the master unit and the slave unit being matched in the memory number. CONSTITUTION:An identifying code from an identifying code generation circuit 10 is inserted between counts read out of a memory 2 of a slave unit and a frame and converted into long and short codes with a return signal conversion circuit 4. This code is converted into the original binary code with a return signal reverse conversion circuit 6 of a master unit and then, the identifying code is detected with an identifying code detection circuit 11. An arithmetic circuit 7 is so arranged that when the counts from a memory 9 of the master unit is the same in the memory number, it performs a computation, while it is not the same, the computation is not performed. In other words, for example, the counts from the memory No.1 is sent to the master unit with the identifying code for No.1 while the counts from the memory No.2 done with the identifying code for No.2. The master unit computes the counts M read out of the memory No.1 with the counts S with the identifying code for No.1 to improve the possibility of erroneous locating.
