The weapon is fitted with a height-adjustable target follower (4) which produces signals indicating the distance to the target at different time intervals. Also mounted on the weapon are transmitters which produce signals representing the weapon's traverse and elevation. A calculation unit is connected to the target follower and transmitters, and from their signals produces dimensions representing the requisite front holding point for the weapon. The weapon aiming device involves also a direct aiming sight (3) which is adjustable laterally and as to height in parallel with the target follower. The dimensions produced by the calculation unit permit permanent lateral and height adjustment of the target follower and direct aim sight so that the target follower is continuously directed on to the target. |
