PURPOSE:To continuously sterilize water to be treated and to remove colored substances by sending the water to be treated upward from the bottom of a treating vessel, bringing the water into contact with gaseous ozone during ascension, and treating the water with the ozone. CONSTITUTION:The water to be treated is supplied to the bottom part of the treating vessel 1, and gaseous ozone is blown from a gaseous ozone supply means 4 into the bottom part or the vicinity of the bottom part in the treating vessel 1. The water treated with ozone in the treating vessel 1 is discharged by the communicating passage 5 for discharge extending from the upper part of the treating vessel 1 to the atmosphere. A hermetic space 7 is formed between the liq. surface of the treating vessel 1 and a top wall part 6 furnished at the top part of the treating vessel 1. The gaseous ozone in the treating vessel is exhausted by an exhaust passage 9 provided to the top wall part 6, and the exhaust gaseous ozone is treated by an exhaust gas treating part 91. Consequently, the treated water to be discharged to the river, etc., can be continuously sterilized, and the chromaticity of the treated water can be controlled. |
