PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material having excellent raw preservability and thermal color forming properties, by incorporating at least one arylamide compound in a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A preferable example of an arylamide compound to be used is a compound of general formula (I). ArCONHR...(I) The compound of general formula (I) may be benzamide, methylbenzamide, ethylbenzamide or the like. A diazo compound to be used may be 4-diazo-1-dimethylaminobenzene, 4-diazo-1- diethylaminobenzene or the like. A coupling component, which performs coupling with the diazo compound (diazonium salt) in a basic atmosphere to form a coloring matter, may be resorcinol, phloroglucinol or the like. By using two or more such coupling agent in combination, images with an arbitrary tone can be obtained. The coupling component is preferably used in an amount of 0.1-10pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the diazo compound. |
