PURPOSE:To improve the rigidity of a chassis by sealing the joint part between the first and the second panels through the attachment of a tape-shaped sealing member, thus removing a cut part for the insertion of a sealing gun, in a car chassis having the third panel jointed with the first and the second panels. CONSTITUTION:A sealing member accommodating groove 2a is formed along the upwardly bent edge 1a of a floor panel 1 onto the inner side surface of a side shill 2. In said sealing member accommodating groove 2, a tape-sealing member 4 which is hardened to a rubber elastic material through heating is accommodated in compressed state. Therefore, the need of forming a cut part for the insertion of the tip edge of a sealing gun onto a cross member 3 covering the joint part between the floor panel 1 and the side shill 2 is eliminated, and the reduction of strength of the cross member 3 is prevented, and the rigidity of chassis is improved.
