In the kind of planning-by-network board having a base 1, guide rails 2-8, slidable longitudinal elements Ka to Kf, a time scale 9, and transverse members, e.g. B 1 and B 2 slidable along the guide rails, the transverse members are mounted by means 15, 16 so as to be spaced from base 1 to allow longitudinal elements Ka-Kf to slide freely, but have selector elements, e.g. Cb, Cc, illustrated also in Fig. 7, which can be clipped on to the transverse members and which act as stops limiting movement of selected elements Ka-Kf. As described, the transverse members B 1 , B 2 act as the nodes of the network. A cursor (11), Fig. 17( not shown), is slidable in the longitudinal direction.
