<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to judge a distance between a vehicle and an obstacle based on illuminated points successively of greater degrees of movement by projecting two or more light beams at respectively different angles against a reference light beam. CONSTITUTION:Titled device consists of two light projectors 20 and 30 arranged at one end of a rear bumper 7 and a light projector 10 arranged at the rear end of a trunk lid 15. Each of the light projectors 10, 20 and 30 is constituted with a light source and a collimating lens to project light beams B1, B2 and B3 against an obstacle O. The light beam B1 is parallel with the ground, the light beam B2 at an upward angle theta1 against the ground, and the light beam B3 at an upward angle theta2 which is greater than theta1, with the light beams B1, B2 and B3 intersecting each other at a position P apart from the rear bumper 7 by a distance of L.</p> |
