PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency in purifying sewage by focusing sunbeams with plural focusing lenses, receiving the focused beam with one end of an optical fiber, placing the other end of the optical fiber at the bottom part in an aeration tank, and heating the sewage. CONSTITUTION:The beams of the sun 8 are focused by the plural focusing lenses 6, the beams focused by the lens 6 are received by the one ends of the optical fibers 2 and 4, and the other sends of the optical fibers are placed at the bottom part in the aeration tank 1. Consequently, even in a roofed aeration tank shielded from the sunbeams, the solar heat is emitted at the bottom part of the aeration tank, and the whole sewage 1a is rapidly heated. Consequently, the efficiency in the biological purification of sewage can be enhanced without providing a boiler, etc., as before.
