PURPOSE:To miniaturize the brush holder and to prevent the pigtail from meshing into the brush spring by holding the pigtail at the end of the arm that holds the brush spring. CONSTITUTION:A brush 24 is fitted into a rectangular brush holder box 21 formed on a brush holder plate 20. To a brush holder box 21 a holding portion 22 is integrally formed which axially projects. Into the holding portion 22 a plate-shaped spiral spring 23 is inserted, one end of which presses the end face of the brush 24. At the holding portion 22 a pigtail holder 22a is provided, with which a pigtail 25 is held. Thus, the brush holder can be miniaturized radially and the pigtail will not be meshed into the brush spring.
