PURPOSE:To enable the life for a rolling contact fatigue to prolong by setting the radius of curvature at the corner of the connecting part of a roller rolling surface and a chamber part at a prescribed value so as to prevent the occurrence of edge stresses on the contact stresses. CONSTITUTION:Denoting the radius of curvature at the corner radius 3 by Rk, the maximum diameter of a roller 2 Da, and the length of the roller 2 lr, the radius Rk of curvature at the corner radius 3 satisfies the formula 0.04(Da.lr)<1/2> with regard to the length lr of a roller, and the maximum diameter Da of the roller. Accordingly, even if a heavy load is applied, edge stresses are hardly caused on the contact stresses between the rolling surfaces of the roller and the orbital ring, and the life for the rolling contact fatigue can be prolonged.
