PURPOSE:To obtain a display controller which can display with an easily recognizable character, by constituting the controller of a smoothing means, memory which stores enlarged or smoothed dot patterns, and display means which displays the content of the memory. CONSTITUTION:When, for example, the dot pattern of a work memory 3 is smoothed, contents of the 2nd and 3rd lines of the work memory 3 are respectively written in an even number register 17 and odd number register 18. Then the 2nd line of the memory 3 is replaced with the OR of a register 24 for correction and the 2nd line of the work memory 3 and the 3rd line of the memory 3 is replaced with the OR of the register 24 and the 3rd line of the memory 3. By repeating the same operations to the 4th and 5th lines, 6th and 7th lines,... of the work memory 3, smoothed dot patterns are produced in the work memory 3. When the enlargement and smoothing are completed, the dot patterns of the work memory 3 are displayed on a CRT 100. Therefore, displays are made with high-quality and easily recognizable characters. |
