PURPOSE:To make it possible to surely and mechanically position a mirror, by providing such an arrangement that a stopper pin on the mirror abuts against the locking part of a stopper ring when a drive motor is driven. CONSTITUTION:A center shaft 5 as a support shaft is projected from a base 1 which is secured to, for example, a door of a vehicle body 12, projecting laterally. The center shaft 5 is fitted thereon with a mirror ring 6 for supporting a mirror, a stopper ring 8 and a drive gear 9 so that they are rotatable upward. A drive gear 4 of a drive motor 3 secured to the mirror ring 6 meshes with the drive gear 9, and a coil spring 10 urges a stopper ring and the mirror ring 6 toward the base. When the mirror ring 6 and the stopper ring 8 are rotated relative to the base 1, it is possible to rotate the mirror 11 to one of the following positions: a regular position, a forward tilting position and a storing position. |
