PURPOSE:To improve charging efficiency by providing two suction valves and two charging valves to one supercharged cylinder whereby shifting the phase between a corresponding main cam and a corresponding subcam so as to be in anti-phase. CONSTITUTION:Two suction valves 6 and 6' and two charging valves 7 and 7' are provided to one supercharged cylinder 2. And each of main cams 13a-16a corresponding to each valve has both a wide open angle and a large lift, and each of subcams 13b-16b corresponding to each valve has both a narrow open angle and a small lift while the main cam and the subcam are shifted in phase each other by 180 deg.. And when the suction valves 6 is actuated by the main cam 13a, two suction valves are actuated in an anti-phase relation so that the suction valve 6' is actuated by the subcam 14b. This constitution can make the cross sectional area of valve opening larger for improving charging efficiency.
