PURPOSE:To improve the acoustic reproduction characteristics of a speaker due to vibration of a cabinet by laminating thin wooden sheets impregnated with a thermosetting resin and applying hot press to the sheets to form a reinforced laminated wooden plate for a bubble plate constituting at least the speaker cabinet. CONSTITUTION:The buffle plate constituting the speaker cabinet is formed by the reinforced laminated wooden plate by applying lamination and hot press to the thin wooden sheets impregnated with the thermosetting resin. For example, a birch plate of 1-4mm thickness is impregnated with a phenolic resin, the required number of the sheets is laminated and subjected to hot pressing to form the reinforced laminated wooden plate of nearly 1.5mm thickness and nearly 1.5 in specific gravity. Then the cabinet of an outer dimension of nearly 280mmWX446mmHX232mmD is made, or the front face buffle plate mounted with a speaker only is made of the said reinforced laminated wooden plate and conventional particle boards are used for other plate faces. In the cabinet obtained in this way, the vibration of each plate face is damped very quickly, the plate face vibration suppressing effect is obtained and the amplitude of the vibration of each plate face is reduced.
