PURPOSE:To produce stably a sheet having sound and uniform thickness by continuous casting, by controlling a molten metal surface condition in a casting tundish, which arranges one pair of cooling rolls faced each other, by electromagnetic pump device, and further keeping a flow of the molten metal surface in the above-mentioned rolls by magnetic field generators to bring the molten metal into contact with the rolls and solidify. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal is generated by a shifting magnetic field therein in an arrow A direction by the electromagnetic pump device 4, which is arranged at a communication path 3 between both tundishes 1, 2 for the molten metal pouring and for casting, and is controlled for its supply into the tundish 2 to adjust to the constant molten metal surface. Further, the molten metal is kept to flow in a dirrection of one pair of cooling rolls 6, 6, arranged at near center of the molten metal surface in the tundish 2, that is, the arrow B, C direction by one pair or more of the magnetic field generators 5, 5, faced each other and arranged at the upper position of the tundish 2 to bring into contact with the outer circle surfaces of the rolls 6, 6 and solidify. Thus, the sheet is produced continuously by drawing to upward the solidified shell 7 through the gap of the rolls 6, 6. |
