PURPOSE:To accelerate, decelerate or switch the advancing direction of a matter advanced onto rotary discs by arranging plural pairs of rotary discs on a carrying path and controlling the rotation of the rotary discs. CONSTITUTION:As a work 1 advancing with a speed V ion the direction P while floating on a carrying path 2 comes to a crossing 8, the compressed air being ejected toward the work 1 while making an angle of 45 deg. against the advancing direction will apply a braking force onto the work 1. And as the work 1 is positioned on the rotary discs 9, 9 at the upstream side of the crossing 8, said rotary discs 9, 9 are gradually rotated in such direction as the ejecting direction of the compressed air are faced with each other and is provided with a braking force until the work 1 will stop. Further, as the work 1 comes to the center of the crossing 8 and stop at this position while being decelerated gradually from a predetermined speed V, respective rotary discs 9 are driven such that the compressed air is ejected toward the center of the crossing 8.
