PURPOSE:To make a drive motive in small size and prolong the life of a chain by dividing each station into a certain number of sets, controlling a pusher dog engage/disengage device and a truck location/stop device for each set and thereby preventing the drive motive from concentration at one time. CONSTITUTION:Each coil truck 6 fast forwarded by a spare conveyor 2 and a subconveyor 5 is stopped and held by a truck location/fixing deice at stations A-J on a conveyor 1, and the coil concerned 8 is unloaded, and release of fixing device is followed by actuation of a dog engage/disengage device at the station H, I, J in No.1 set I to cause motion of the truck 6 for a certain amount, which is thus fixed in precise position and held. This is followed alike by one pitch feed of trucks at stations E, F, G in No.2 set II, stations B, C, D in No.3 set III and station A in No.4 set IV. Here deceleration and stop of the chain is made by reference to the foregoing station to any station concerned to ensure that the set is fed precisely. This transporting method for trucks wherein trucks are treated one set for another should prevent concentration of the drive motive and shock.
