PURPOSE:To enhance color forming speed and preservability of developed color parts, by using 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropoxydiphenylsulfone as an acidic substance and 4-benzylbiphenyl as a sensitizer in a thermal color forming recording material. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording paper produced by using a combination of 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropoxydiphenylsulfone as a color developer and 4- benzylbiphenyl as a sensitizer sufficiently fulfills the requirements for enhancement of color forming property and preservability. To produce the thermal recording paper, the above-mentioned two substances in the form of fine particles are dispersed in an aqueous solution of a water-soluble binder, and the resultant suspended liquid is applied to a paper, followed by drying. The amount of 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropoxydiphenylsulfone used is 1-5 times the weight of a color forming dye used, and the amount of 4-benzylbiphenyl used is 1/2-4 times the amount of the dye used. |
