PURPOSE:To improve the estimation accuracy and to reduce the scale of hardware by connecting plural number of sets of basic section comprising cascade connection of a 2nd order cyclic digital filter and a 2nd order non-cyclic digital filter in cascade, connecting a 1st order non-cyclic digital filter between the 2nd order filters of each basic block respectively and connecting an adder to the 1st order filters. CONSTITUTION:2nd order cyclic filters (401-40k) and 2nd order non-cyclic filters (501-50k) having a zero point at the position of a mirror image of a pole of the cyclic filter with respect to the unit circle of the Z plane are connected in cascade respectively, 1st order non-cyclic filter (601-60k) are connected respectively between the filters (401-40k) and the filters 1501-50k), and output of the filters 60 connect to the adder 33. In the adaptive control of parameters using the sum of outputs of the filters 60 as the output and deciding a polynomial of a denominator of a rational function formed by all the filters, as to the parameters belonging to the basic block of the final stage, the adaptive control is applied for a prescribed period. Then the parameter is shifted cyclicly at each basic section and the adaptive control and the cyclic shift as above are repeated to obtain an optimum value.
