PURPOSE:To promote the effect of cooling and heating and achieve the effect of energy saving, by controlling the direction of air flow discharge to the indoor side by providing a outlet port and a door on each of a front side, both sides, and an upper side of the main body of an apparatus, using a centrifugal fan for an indoor side fan. CONSTITUTION:A cross flow fan is employed for an outdoor fan 6, while a turbo-fan for an indoor fan 7 and a second outdoor fan 9. As the indoor fan 7 is a turbo-fan, a outlet port 8A is placed so as to face downward in order that temperature distribution in the living space during heating operation can be improved. Then in the case that, during heating, heating only around feet is required, air is discharged through only the front outlet port 8A, with doors of 10B, 10C, and 10D closed. When, during cooling operation, cooling around feet is not desired, air is made to discharged through only an upper outlet port 8D by closing the doors of 10B, 10C, and 10A. |
