PURPOSE:To shorten rear overhang in a suspension device of rear driving wheel by supporting front and rear ends of a leaf spring slidably in the longitudinal direction and by connecting a car shaft to rear brackets with two upper and lower torque rods. CONSTITUTION:The front and rear ends of a lead spring 28 are supported on brackets 32, 32' respectively, while being pinched by slide sheets 34, 34' and rebound pins 36, 36', and an axle 22 is connected to rear brackets 38, 38' by means of torque rods 40, 40'. Then the front and rear ends of the leaf spring 28 are freely moved in the longitudinal direction, and the center I of the axle 22 is moved on the circular arc HIJ centering around the joint 26 of a propeller shaft 18 together with the movement of the leaf spring 28. Therefore, the distances NL, NK, NM between joints 24, 26 of the propeller shaft 18 can be approximately equalized to decreased sliding amount of the propeller shaft, and rear overhang is shortened. |
