PURPOSE:To strengthen the supervisory function by shortening the polling cycle time even when the scale of a communication supervisory and controlling equipment is large in the communication supervisory control of a polling system where a supervisory station calls plural stations to be supervised sequentially. CONSTITUTION:The frequency of generation within a prescribed time having a change in the operating state of each supervised station is stored in a memory circuit in a communication supervisory and controlling section 100 installed in a supervisory station. When the generation of frequency stored in the memory circuit is zero and the operating state of a station to be supervised is normal for a long period, the call of the supervised station is controlled not to be executed. Further, the call signal reception frequency received by its own station within a specified time is stored in the memory circuit of a own station within a specified time is stored in the memory circuit of a communication supervisory and controlling section 200 installed in the station to be supervised. When the reception frequency stored in the memory circuit is zero and a change is caused in the operating state of its own station and a call signal to its own station is not detected for a prescribed time or over, the sending of the operating state of its own station to the supervisory station is controlled. through the control above, the polling cycle time is shortened in a large sized communication supervisory and controlling equipment as well.
