PURPOSE:To execute the paper currency feed-in and feed-out operations in parallel by arranging a mechanism for feeding the stacked paper currency continuously and a mechanism for stacking the feed-in paper currency continuously. CONSTITUTION:Upon continuous feed-in of paper currency, the feed-in paper currency 7 is inserted in the direction B at one end of a frame 2 and a stopper 6 for preventing the feed-in currency from tilting is moved in the direction C in dependence on the increasing number of the feed-in paper currency and position controlled. While upon continuous feed-out of paper currency, the stacked feed-out paper currency 1 is exhausted. Consequently, the feed-in paper currency 7 is moved in the direction E toward one end of the frame 2. The feed-in paper currency 7 is moved by interlocking the tilt-prevention stopper 6 and a backup plate 4 with each other.
