PURPOSE:To easily recognize a numeric value by displaying the fore-front digit of the numeric value to be displayed at a display part dividing into a non- presence of display and a presence of display. CONSTITUTION:An input operation part is provided with every kind of keys 23-31 for the setting and inputting of the numeric value, and a display art 19 is provided with a block display area 19a, a step display area 19b, a display digit part area 19c which displays an object value (set value) or a present value, lamps 21a-21b which display whether the displayed value of the area 19c is the object value or the present value, and mode display lamps 22a-22d. A mode is switched in turn by depressing the mode key 23, and the display lamps 22a-22d are lightened corresponding to the mode, and the mode can be used by depressing the registration key 26. When a setting and registration mode is indicated, a numeral of a number of set digit is displayed in a '0' presence of display form where the number of zeros equivalent to the number of set digits are displayed without performing a zero suppression, and when other modes are indicated, the numeral is displayed in a '0' non-presence of display form where the number of zeros are suppressed.
