PURPOSE:To eliminate the limitation of original setting by generating a mark on a display screen of a display device and controlling an electric signal of the picture based on the position on the picture displayed by the mark so as to facilitate the generation of original. CONSTITUTION:A marker of picture display is generated by a pattern generator (PG) 23, read by a video exclusive RAM (V-RAM) 24, controlled by a CPU 15 and a graphic display control (GDC) 25 and displayed. In depressing a wipe button/scroll button of an operation section, a pointer operation lever moves the marker to input an optional position and a pattern at an optional position is displayed or erased by the software incorporated in advance and the DGC 25. Thus, the original is received at any time by the CPU 15 and the GDC 25.
