PURPOSE:To improve the operability by providing input keys of alphanumeric and special symbol and a memory function to eliminate the need for a collation table, thereby having only to input an abbreviation of a destination for the dialing of a telephone number. CONSTITUTION:In the registration mode, a key * of a key section 2 is depressed and the abbreviation of a destination is inputted in an alphanumeric letter from a key section 3. A key = is inputted succeedingly and a telephone number is inputted by a numeral. After an input data is set in an input key control section 5, the abbreviation and the telephone number are stored in a prescribed area of a memory section 7 by a control section 6. When *s are inputted succeedingly, the registration is finished. In the dial mode, a key * of the key section 2 is inputted and after the abbreviation is inputted from the key section 3, a key - of the key section 2 is inputted. Thus, the control section 6 references a data set by the control section 5, the key judges the oscillation mode and the telephone number corresponding to the data inputted between the keys * and - is searched out from the memory section 7 and the result is set to a dial section 8, which sends the set telephone number.
