Automatic test bench for portable pneumatic machines, comprising a support 17 on which the said machines 100 can be successively fixed, a system 3 for supplying the said machines with compressed air, a variable brake 23 for the rotation of the said machines, a sensor 13 of the torque exerted on the said brake by the said machines, as well as at least one sensor 25 capable of measuring the rotational speed of the said machines. According to the invention, this test bench is characterised in that the said compressed air supply system 3 comprises a pressure control member 32 and a flow rate control member 33 and in that there is provided a calculation and automation assembly 2 for controlling the said rotational brake 23 and the said pressure and flow rate control members 32, 33 and for recording the indications supplied by the said torque and rotational speed sensors, according to a program which is specific to each machine.
