PURPOSE:Titled covering film having excellent heat-insulating properties and being useful as a material for agricultural hot houses, prepared by forming into film, a composition containing a polyethylene resin as a principal component and an added melt-moldable polyvinyl alcohol resin. CONSTITUTION:To (a) 99-55wt% of a polyethylene type resin such as low-density polyethylene, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer or pref., a resin having a vinyl acetate content of at most 40wt%, is added (b) 1-45wt% of a melt-moldable polyvinyl alcohol resin such as a saponified alpha-olefin/vinyl acetate copolymer having a 3-30C alpha-olefin content of 0.5-15mol% and a degree of saponification of vinyl acetate component, of at least 80mol%. Titled covering film is obtained by forming the above composition into film about 30-150mu thick. |
