The invention relates to an installation for disinfecting surfaces by air means in closed chambers. It will in particular find its application in the medical field for the asepsis of operating theatres. The installation is intended to vaporise into the atmosphere of a chamber to be disinfected a dosed quantity of a disinfectant solution. The installation 1 is composed: - of a device 2 for atomising in a mist 3 the disinfectant solution 4, - of conditioning means 9 which ensure support for the diffusion and create an unsaturated atmosphere in the spray zone of the atomising device 2, - mixing means 6 which ensure the circulation of the air present in the closed chamber through the installation 1.
