PURPOSE:To automatize assembling and disassembling of a modular tool and miniaturize a device by providing a magazine for housing a tool part module, a chuck for feeding said tool part module, and a combining mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A chuck 30 is opened and closed by means of a rotary actuator 29 on the end of a rotary arm 27 which is rotated by a driving mechanism 26, to hold a tool module (a) from the tool supporting part 4 of a magazine 2 provided on one side of a body 1. The rotary arm 27 is lifted up by an air cylinder 28 and 180 deg. rotated, to transfer the tool module (a) to an assembling position 6 provided on the other side. And, as the tool module (a) is engaged with a holder module (b) which is being clamped by a clamping mechanism 10, it is tightened and combined by means of a nut runner 31 provided on the other end side of the rotary arm 27. Then, the combined tool is fed to a machine tool by means of a traverser device, while a used tool is returned and disassembled by reversing above procedures.
