摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the corporation of Briggs' degree of a sugar solution into automatic control in the production process, by using a table in which differences about each temperature between the upper limit value of a specific gravity meter and correction values for specific gravities as specified value. CONSTITUTION:In a polygon line (A)3, Bx1 is determined as Briggs' degree Bx of a sugar solution at 20 deg.C from a specific gravity (d) at 20 deg.C and in a polygon line (B)4, a correction value DELTABx1 is extracted from a table for the Bx1 for the present temperature with D=dmax based on a data of a thermometer 2. Moreover, in a polygonal line (C)5, DELTABx2, is determined from a table of functions stored from a data of at the current temperature tN of the thermometer 2. In a computation 6, a proportional calculation is made from the data of Bx1 and the measured value = d, DELTABx1 and DELTABx2, supposing that specific gravity constant curves is given between D=da and D=dmax at equal intervals. In this manner, when a specific gravity (d) at T=20 deg.C and the present temperature tN are measured with a proportional meter 1, Bx is automatically determined using a table at each stage from the resulting data.
