Straddling tractor of the type comprising a straddling chassis consisting of two hollow rear legs 2, forming casings, inside which the chains and sprockets for driving the drive wheels 4 are arranged and two front legs 3 carrying the guiding wheels 5, these front and rear legs being connected by cross-members, characterised in that the front legs 3 are extended heightwise by means of tubes, the cross-member 11 joining their upper ends and the steering rods 12 thus being raised so that the chassis does not comprise any obstacle at the front situated lower than the height of the agricultural tools to be used. <IMAGE>
