PURPOSE:To surely prevent a disk transfer buffer from omitting data by setting occupation information and an occupied processor number in a buffer managing block and providing a buffer storage register capable of external inputs. CONSTITUTION:Processors P (P04nPN) mutually connected through a system bus 1, the controller 2 of the hard disk device 3, the buffer preserving register 4 and a common memory 6 comprise a disk managing system, and the buffer managing block 7, a tag information and the disk transfer buffer 9 are set in a memory 6. The occupation information 11 and the occupied processor number 12 are stored in the block 7. If the processor P breaks down during the occupation of the transfer buffer 9, the other normal processor P decided whether the processor P occupying the buffer 9 breaks down or not. At the time of the breakdown of the processor P, the block 7 is released, and the other normal processor P continues disk transfer.
