PURPOSE:To provide a multi-function multi-hand analog timepiece which is simple in construction and design by providing date and day display functions, etc., to auxiliary hands. CONSTITUTION:A motor to move the main hands 1-3 for time display and one pieces each of motors to move the auxiliary hands, respectively, are incorporated into the movement of a timepiece and the four motors are operated by the driving signals from an IC circuit. The hour and minute hands 1-3 and the date and day hands 5, 6 are, therefore, not mechanically interlocked in the normal time. The time stored in the IC and the time indicated by the mounted hands are thereupon made coincident in the stage of building a battery into the timepiece. The subsequent correction of the hour and minute hands is executed by the electronic correction by the driving pulses from the IC circuit. The motor driving pulses for the date and day display are delivered from the IC circuit by the position detection of the hour and minute hands to synchronize the hour and minute hands and the date and day hands. The auxiliary hands 5, 6 are functioned as the hands for the date and day in an ordinary mode and as the hands for measuring 30min and 7hr in a multi-function mode. The simple multi-function multi-hand analog timepiece is made possible by the ordinary time mode display and other mode displays.
