Means for allowing the fixing of vegetation in sloping pulverulent ground and the implantation of durable vegetation, constituted by : a. at the top of the sloping ground, therefore at the head of the embankment, and in the longitudinal direction, an irrigation system consisting of a water supply connected to a perforated pipe surrounded by a rotproof porous geotextile; b. on the slope and on the active irrigation part, a superposition of a cellular three-dimensional geotextile structure and of at least one sheet of rotproof porous geotextile of high transmissivity; c. in the cells, a mixture of seeds and/or implants and of soil suitable for germination. Method for the implementation of the means in which the following operations are successively carried out : a. the creation, at the top of the sloping ground, of a longitudinal spillway bank which is possibly made impermeable and on which perforated pipework, surrounded with a rotproof porous geotextile and connected to a water supply, is laid; b. the unrolling and fixing on the embankment slope, passing first around the pipework laid on the spillway bank, of at least one sheet of rotproof porous geotextile of high transmissivity; c. the installation and fixing on this sheet of geotextile of a cellular three-dimensional geotextile structure; d. the filling of the cells with a mixture of seeds or implants and of soil suitable for germination. <IMAGE>
