PURPOSE:To aim at preventing a bolt from being pinched and so forth during fastening of the bolt into a nut, by supporting a socket to the casing of a nut runner device through the intermediary of a spring and a centering member, and by moving the center axis of the socket along with the center axis of the bolt. CONSTITUTION:A socket 317 is rotated to be advanced so that the inner surface of a nut 318 makes into contact with the front end of a hub bolt 60. Since the frictional resistance of a ball bearing 324 disposed between a spring seat 322 and the socket 317 is slight, the socket 317 is moved in the direction parallel with the attaching surface of the hub 6 to correct the eccentricity between the axes l1, l2 when the socket 317 is moved rearward. Then, the socket 317 is further moved reward relative to the device when the latter advances, and the socket 317 is rotated about a constant speed joint member 316 as a center in the transverse direction or the vertical direction, overcoming the bending rigidity of a spring 323. The relief at this time is effected by bending a leaf spring 320. Thereby, the axes l1, l2 may be completely aligned with each other, and therefore, the nut may be fastened onto the hub bolt without being pinched.
