PURPOSE:To confirm the movement position of an image formation part which forms an image of an object accurately and to improve handling operation by detecting the movement position of the image formation part and displaying the movement position. CONSTITUTION:The object image 29 is displayed on the display part 38 of a CRT monitor 31. At the same time, the up/down and right/left movement positions of the image formation part 22 are detected by the 1st and the 2nd detection parts 34 and 35, whose detection signals are outputted to an image conversion part 37. Those detection signals are converted by an image conversion part 27 into images, which are signal-processed by a video process part 30 and displayed on, for example, the X-Y axial two-dimensional coordinate part 40 of the display part 38 of the CRT monitor 31 together with the object image 39. Consequently, the movement positions of the image formation part 22 are confirmed accurately, so the handling operation is facilitated to make a high-precision observation.
