PURPOSE:To move a detector rotatably or upward and downward while holding the angle of its radiation incidence surface at a constant value by supporting one of parallel links of a parallelogram link mechanism rotatably on a rotating circular ring or prop. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a shaft 10 fixed on the side wall of the detector 1 is supported on one link 3. A brake device 12 which operates on the shaft 10 of the detector 10, for example, inside the link 3 is provided with a brake shoe 13 which is pressed against the shaft 10, upper and lower pressing members 14 and 15 which press the shoe 13 against the shaft 10 by opening/closing operation at need, and a mechanism which opens and closes those members 14 and 15. A brake is normally applied to unite the device 12 and detector 1 together and the detector 1 is moved up to and down from a sample while its radiation incidence surface is held at a constant angle; and a brake is released when necessary and then the detector 1 becomes rotatable around the shaft 10.
