This container 1 piercing device, in which the container comprises an adaptor 2 fitted into an orifice in a gas dispensing member 3, comprises container piercing means 8 able to slide inside the said dispensing member between a retracted position and an active container-piercing position in which one of the ends of the piercing means 8 projects into the orifice of the dispensing member in order to pierce the container. The device is characterised in that percussion means 10 for striking these piercing means 8 are arranged outside the dispensing member 3. These percussion means consist of a percussion arm 10 that pivots on a support 4 between a loading position in which this arm is held by retaining means 13, and an active position in which the percussion arm 10 strikes the piercing means 8 so as to move them into their active container-piercing position. <IMAGE>
