PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of an electronic timepiece, by changing a mode according to the movement of a body moving in such a manner to get into or out of the timepiece while a different mode is selected according to the direction of movement to enable the selection of more modes with limited number of switches. CONSTITUTION:An analog timepiece section 2 is housed into an analog housing section 4a of a timepiece case 4, and a digital timepiece 3 into a digital housing section 4b side by side at an electronic wrist timepiece 1. A part of the timepiece 3 is drawn outside the case 4 in such a manner as to get into or out of an opening on the side of the housing section 4b. An analog block 10 is fixed into the housing section 4a and a pointer 10b adapted to run is mounted on a dial plate 11 on the block 10 in such a manner as to be operable. A mode is changed according to the direction of movement of the pointer 10b and a different mode is selected according to the direction of the pointer moves to enable the selection of more modes with limited number of switches, thereby simplifying the construction of the timepiece 1. |
