摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten the time of a seal curing process and to facilitate an operation by interposing a gap agent, liquid crystal, and adhesive particles of specific particle size with specific softening temperature between two glass substrates which have transparent electrodes, arranging a ultraviolet-ray curing type seal material at the peripheral edge part, and curing the seal material after a press and a heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:The gap control material 23, liquid crystal 24, and adhesive particles 25 are interposed between two glass substrates 21 and 22 where transparent electrodes are formed and oriented, and the ultraviolet-ray curing type seal agent 27 which contains a gap control material 26 is arranged at the peripheral edge part to form a cell shape. The adhesive 25 cures to adhere at temperature higher than the dislocation temperature between the liquid crystal and liquid and have larger size than the gap control material 23. This cell assembly is placed on cushion material 32 on a pedestal 31, a cushion material 34 on the reverse surface of a pressure plate 33 is placed thereupon, and a shaft 35 is pushed down by a press device to adjust the gap. At the same time, the adhesive particles are heated to and adhere. Then, ultraviolet rays are irradiated to cure the seal agent 27, thus obtaining a liquid crystal display cell.
