<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled precursor capable of giving thin films having improved heat and chemical resistance, by reacting a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride with an alcohol, converting the resultant compound into an acid halide and reacting the resultant acid halide with a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride expressed by formula I (R<1> is >=2C tetrafunctional group) is reacted with a compound expressed by the formulas R<3>OH and R<4>OH (R<3> and R<4> are 1-30C monofunctional aliphatic, monofunctional cyclic group or group formed by linking an aromatic group to an aliphatic group, group formed by substituting the above-mentioned groups with halogen, nitro, amino, etc., or H) to give a compound expressed by formula II, which is then converted into an acid halide in an anhydrous polar organic solvent at >=-10 deg.C. The resultant acid halide is then reacted with a compound expressed by formula III (R<5> and R<6> have the same meaning as R<3> and R<4>) at >=-10 deg.C to afford the titled precursor having repeating units expressed by formula IV (one of R<3>-R<6> is not 1-11C group or H).</p> |
