PURPOSE:To permit efficient production without necessitating a complicated preprocessing by a method wherein a part of a flange piece is formed by press forming together with a cut and slotted piece so that the part of the flange piece is fitted forcibly into a penetrating hole under a condition that the same part is pinched between the penetrating hole formed on a rear plate and the cut and slotted piece in order to connect a cylindrical trunk with the rear plate. CONSTITUTION:A rear plate 15, connected to a top plate 18, is formed with a plurality of penetrating holes 31 along the peripheral rim of an opening at the rear side of a cylindrical trunk. Respective penetrating holes 31 are made by forming a cut and slotted piece 32 smaller than the penetrating hole 31 at the fore side of the rear plate 15. The flange piece 24 of the top plate 18 is moved into an arrow sign direction A and is superposed on the section of the penetrating holes 31 of the rear plate 15. In this case, the flange piece 24 is moved so as to be capable of facing to the penetrating holes 31, therefore, the tip end of the fore part 32a of the cut and slotted piece 32 and the tip end of the flange piece 24 are positioned previously so as to have a distance X. Molds are abutted against each other to effect press forming under a condition that the rear plate 15 is superposed on the flange piece 24.
