PURPOSE:To recover aluminum salt by a simple process, by incinerating the precipitate of pulp waste water subjected to flocculation treatment using aluminum salt at 650 deg.C or less. CONSTITUTION:Aluminum sulfate is added to waste water discharged from a pulp mill and, after stirring, waste water is allowed to stand to obtain a precipitate. The supernatant liquid is discarded and the precipitate is dehydrated, dried and subsequently incinerated at 650 deg.C or less, pref. 600 deg.C or less. By this method, the aluminum component becomes amorphous and only dissolved in an acid to recover aluminum salt. By this constitution, sludge reclamation is dispensed with and the conservation of resources is attained.
