PURPOSE:To obtain the foundation of a structure suitable for a cold district, by placing a heat insulator between gravels and concrete. CONSTITUTION:A ground surface is pit-excavated in a square shape and is filled up with gravels 1, and filling is executed on the ground surface in the square shape, and the fill-up surface is overlaid with the gravels 1. After that, on the gravels 1, an heat insulator is mounted, and on the whole surface, the work of concrete 4 is executed. By this method, a ground surface under a foundation is not exposed to the air, and without worrying about frost heave harm, the depth with pit excavation an be made smaller, and so the working property of construction is extremely improved. Even into poor subsoil, piles are not required to be driven, and ground is air-conditioned well because of the heat accumulating function of the concrete 4 placed over the whole surface.
