PURPOSE:To permit to preserve the hard coat of low deformation section by a method wherein molding material, processed with hard coat treatment, is heated locally to mold the low deformation section under a low temperature. CONSTITUTION:A polymethyl methacrylate plate 1, formed with a hard coat 8, is pinched by a local heating device 3, embedded with heaters 2 at the periphery thereof and having no heater in the central section thereof. When only the periphery of the plate 1 is heated to about 140-180 deg.C, the temperature of the central section of the plate 1 becomes about 100-140 deg.C. The plate 1 is moved onto a bottom force 4, provided with recessed section 4 at the peripheral section thereof and with a slow convex surface at the central section thereof, and a protruded section 6 is formed on the lower surface of the peripheral section while a top force 7, having a slow concave surface at the central section of the lower surface thereof, is put on. Subsequently, the top force 7 is lowered and deformation work is effected while the central section of the plate 1 is keeping the temperature of about 90-130 deg.C and the peripheral section is keeping the temperature of about 130-170 deg.C whereby a synthetic resin molded product 9, in which the hard coat 8 of the curved surface 11 and the hard coat 8 of the plate 1 have the substantially same property, can be obtained.
